USA Table Tennis is organized under the United States Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the sport of table tennis in the United States. As a member service organization it promotes table tennis by creating opportunities for athletes and coaches of all backgrounds to participate in the sport through more than 250 clubs and over 350 tournaments across the nation annually. USA Table Tennis is a member of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), and is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competition including the Pan American and Olympic Games.

Tournament Sanctioning Steps

  1. Create Tournament - TD creates a tournament entry in the system. After TD creates a tournament entry in the system, add by clicking on your name at top right, selecting My Tournaments, and then clicking the New Tournament button. Please have a copy of your entry blank ready to download. After submitting a sanction request, the Tournament Contact, Tournament Referee, USATT office, and the assigned Sanctioning Coordinator will receive notice of the sanction request.
  2. Pay USATT - TD pays the sanctioning fee online via paypal
  3. Sanctioning Coordinator Approval - Sanctioning coordinator approves the tournament. After approval, all parties will be notified by email
  4. Tournament GO-Live - After Sanctioning Coordinator has approved the tournament, tournament is added to the USATT online Events calendar

Tournament Statuses For Sanctioning

  1. Created - Once a tournament is created by TD and payment is not yet made and the entry is not approved by Sanctioning coordinator
  2. Paid - If you don’t already have a PayPal account, please go to https://PayPal.com and set up an account. TD has paid the fee to USATT for the tournament. Sanctioning coordinator has not yet approved the tournament
  3. SanctioningCoordinatorApproved - Sanctioning coordinator has approved the tournament
